JOB OVERVIEW:
As a key part of our senior leadership team, the HR Director works in conjunction with the Managing Directors and senior leadership team to achieve the companies vision of changing the way that people shop in the Middle East. The HR Director acts as custodian of the companies values and is an evangelist of our unique and collaborative culture by increasing internal and external awareness around the companys history, its achievements, milestones, the benefits/perks we offer and its future. He/ She is responsible for aligning HR strategy, policy and practice with our goals and creating an inspiring work environment which is focussed on learning, development and results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance management:
- Review, management and implementation of a fit for purpose performance management system; working with managers to ensure consistent application of best practice with regards to job descriptions, objective setting, performance review and development plans.
- Coaching and mentoring managers to handle complex performance related issues.

Strategy and organization design:
- Accept full accountability for aligning HR plans to organisational objectives, working closely with MDs and senior leadership team to understand how HR can support internal goals.
- Establishing and managing HR budget and applying cost efficiencies where possible.
- Reviewing and optimizing organizational structure to ensure efficiency and productivity including rolling review of role profiles, competencies and skill sets to ensure appropriate job fit.
- Supporting managers with headcount planning and ensure headcount budgets are established and maintained
- Recommending appropriate remuneration levels, and structures for aligning contribution, value and performance to salary structures.
- Continually seeking cost-effective perk programs in rhythm with company growth and key milestones/deadlines
- Custodian of payroll and all associated issues including compliance with local labour laws relating to salary processing.

Training & development:
- Driving, maintaining and supporting a learning culture that embodies performance excellence by identifying training needs and creating appropriate training plans on a corporate and individual level.
- Fostering a culture of coaching and mentoring across all departments.

HR policies and procedures
- Maintaining, reviewing and revising as necessary all HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with changes to local labour laws (minimising risk), best practice and objectives.
- Custodian of all HR data, management of the HRMS system and hard copy files

Employee relations
- Managing all aspects of ER; absence management, dispute resolution, disciplinary and grievance etc
- Acting as a sounding board for issues relating to maintaining a healthy and productive work environment
- Guiding and mentoring managers to promote a collaborative and efficient work culture that supports the companies values.
- Fostering an open and transparent communication culture to allow for sharing of knowledge, information, news and responsibilities across the entire company
- Maintaining a firm grasp over employee morale and providing actionable feedback to management

Recruitment and onboarding
- Ensuring appropriate recruiting processes and tools are in place to attract, hire and onboard world class talent, aligned to the companies competencies and values.
- Constantly developing and driving our employer branding initiatives.
- Working closely with all hiring managers to ensure headcount is planned and appropriate levels of training and support are given to those involved in the recruiting process.

Team management:
- Managing, guiding, developing and mentoring the HR team taking full responsibility for identifying personal goals and supporting professional development.
- Leading by example creating an honest and open work environment that supports world class HR practice.
