Employment: Full Time

Overall Purpose or Function of Position:

The HR IT Application Support Manager (ITM) leads and manages technical aspects of the HR IT applications as well as service management activities for applications and services within his / her area of responsibility.

The core HR IT landscape consists of SAP HCM, Payrolls and several web applications. The primary HR and PY applications is SAP ECC 6.0 and primarily run on HPUX x64 OS, utilizing Oracle 11 as the DB layer.
The other key systems/applications are both COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) and custom web applications. The technologies primarily used are .NET, Java, Cold Fusion running on both WINTEL & Linux systems. These applications also utilize Oracle at the DB layer.

Support for the following components is currently outsourced:
• SAP Payroll, SAP HCM and Web Applications,L3 support
• SAP BASIS
• Oracle DBA
• Data Centre Hosting and Facilities
• System Administration (Unix and Wintel)

The ITM will be required to validate and coordinate activities with these key support groups, outsource service providers and other third parties.

The ITM will also be jointly responsible for ensuring the appropriate technical design, infrastructure and sustaining environment for all Schlumberger HR IT systems and applications and to meet business requirements in line with SLAs provided by outsourced support groups and Schlumberger standards & specifications. These include Bug fix and minor projects & enhancements, Release Management (Application and OS), Data Center standards, LAN & WAN, desktop, IT security, Data Privacy, and Other Enterprise Services infrastructure.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Assist in the day to day management of the HRIS applications sustaining environments to meet SLB key performance metrics (availability & performance).

Act as a technical authority in both system architecture & management, providing technical support to Level 2 Analysts for applications & systems and to relevant L3 support teams where necessary.

Coordinates and tracks all technical and physical resources (internal and external) for the assigned HR IT applications

Manages and reviews all change requests (both system and application) and coordinates implementation activities with out-sourced providers in line with Service level agreements.

Ensures integration with the Service management processes

Provide assistance to projects as a IT project manager or other duties as required.

Requirements

Education / Experience Required:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent
SAP Certifications (preferred not a must)
PMP (Project Management) Certifications (preferred not a must)

6+ years relevant experience in IT with demonstrable project management and service delivery experience.

Competencies Required:

• The candidate will have previous experience working with SAP in a technical role as either a SAP BASIS administrator or SAP ABAP programmer or Solution Architect.
• Competencies in data management, software integration, software testing, bug control and software verification.
• Good understanding of IT service delivery management.
• Good understanding of OS/application management, H/W and storage management (DAS & SAN), backup and recovery processes, HA (high availability).
• Competencies in IT project management.
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, and presentation (English)).
• A good understanding of infrastructure and related services (IT service desk, LAN & WAN services, Active Directory and Corporate Directory (LDAP), Outlook and messaging/calendar services, Secure VPN/Gateway) and the protocols utilized (TCP/IP, MAPI, SMTP, HTTP(S), DNS, TLS/SSL etc).
• Good understanding of IT security.
• Possesses a working knowledge of at least one programming and/or scripting language.
• Possesses knowledge of systems and application architecture - client server applications and database technologies.
