Job description / Role
Our client is a major local retail group with some exciting expansion plans due to take place this year. They are recruiting a new Human Resources Manager to lead and deliver the human resources service including general employee issues, recruitment, compensation & benefits, training and performance.
Key areas of delivery will include:
Ensure full control of the HR budget
Recruitment – overall responsibility for recruitment campaigns, manpower budgeting, approvals, job description, remuneration packages, process management, external recruitment costs
Develop the company’s organizational policies to ensure that ethical and professional standards are met
Performance management – support and train lines managers on performance management issues and processes
Learning & Development - support and guide line managers on L&D development for managers and their teams
Training – manage the training and development programme; support continuous improvement of this area
Recruitment & Retention - manage talent attraction, existing talent and succession planning;
Compensation & Benefits – maintain information on compensation and benefits for all employees, advise and support employees where necessary
Policy & procedures – support development of new HR policies, procedures and processes; work closely with GM to ensure compliance with UAE employment law and ensure that line managers are briefed
Act as Business Partner to senior managers, support them on all staffing issues
Lead on complex disciplinary/grievance and HR issues; use company procedures to support appropriate decision making skills in these areas
Requirements
A professional qualification or degree in Human Resources Management
Seven years experience working in human resources, 2-3 years in a management role
Demonstrated ability and experience to manage a human resources function
Strong commercial skills
Experience of staff management, training and development
