Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The job holder is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:

HR Activities
Provide an HR consultancy, advisory and guidance service to managers and staff.
Partner with HR Managers to identify and plan actions required to address specific HR issues.
Work with the HR Team to ensure that performance standards are consistent across the group.
Support the COO Group Services with the development and execution of HR strategies and initiatives.
Maintain the Standard Operating Procedures manual for all HR process and procedures.
Responsible for the execution and delivery of all HR projects that are assigned to your team.

Accommodation
Oversee all aspects of the company accommodation and transportation facilities.
Manage any disputes effective, in liaison with Group HR to resolve in a timely manner.
Regular visits to all accommodation sites (RAK, Al Ain, Abu Dhabi) to ensure that company standards are being met.

Government Liaison
Manage the team that coordinates and administers all immigration, visa and government liaison activities to ensure that the company is compliant with all legal requirements.
Manage the relationships with Duty Free Dubai Ports (DFDP) and local Dubai Immigration department directly as well as through the PRO.
Proactively manage activities to ensure they are processed in an efficient and timely manner.

HR Management Information
Manage the production of HR management information, ensuring that accurate and meaningful data is produced for management on a timely basis, proactively discussing the key issues, trends and potential actions with business managers.
Works with other HR colleagues to ensure accuracy of data and to understand the relationship , i.e. identify cause & effect issues, identify trends and possible actions to recommend to senior management.
Ensures that the processes for administering and reporting on HRMI are fully documented, complied with and continuously reviewed to ensure they are as effective and efficient as possible.

Office Manager
Oversee the day-to-day management of the office building, reception and office facilities.

Policies and Procedures
Review on an on-going basis policies and procedures and look for ways to streamline and make more effective while also looking to introduce new ideas for improvements.
Ensure that the HR SharePoint site is maintained and regularly updated with the correct information.
Work with sister companies to align & review the group policies and procedures.

Attrition Management
Produce regular reports on attrition tracking, investigate the current trends and reasons around employee attrition levels.
Work with the HR Team and Operations Team to identify opportunities to improve staff retention, activities that affect attrition and develop a long-term strategy that can be implemented across the group.

Airport Passes
Oversee Airport passes process and identify any improvements that can be implemented.

Other responsibilities
Perform other duties as requested by the Line Manager.

Requirements

Essential:
5+ years of HR Generalist experience or operational, with proven track record of delivering HR Programs.
Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
Working knowledge of the UAE labour law.
Experience in hospitality or FMCG industry.

Desirable:
Educated to degree level.
CIPD qualification.
