Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose of Job:
To support the achievement of British Council outcomes through effective and efficient Human Resources Management. To meet business needs and exemplify corporate values and standards. To promote a supportive working environment that emphasises achievement through learning, knowledge sharing and team-working.

Context and Environment: (e.g. dept description, region description, organogram):
The post holder will work as a part of the UAE Resources Team, reporting to Assistant Director Resources and working closely with the UAE Senior Management Team, MENA HR Business Partner, Line Managers and all UAE staff in both the country and the regional teams.

Salary Package:
Basic Salary: AED 7,770/-
Housing Allowance: AED 3,500/- per month

Requirements

Skills and Knowledge

1.Human Resources Management includes but not limited to Resourcing, People and Performance, Learning & Development

2. Communication Skills
Reading and writing skills, Speaking and listening skills, Understanding purpose, Understand the audience, Understand tools and media, Knowledge sharing

Experience:
Significant demonstrable experience in HR management in a multinational organization

Desirable for the role however not essential:
a) Fluent in written and spoken Arabic
b) Knowledge of UAE Labour laws and market
c) HR Qualification (e.g. CIPD Certificate or Diploma or equivalent)
