Position Overview:

The HR Manager has the responsibility to develop and deliver people management strategies which support the Board’s overall strategic aims and objectives. The jobholder will be expected to contribute at both a strategic and operational level in order to identify HR priorities and recommend appropriate people management solutions which support business aims, in addition to providing a customer-focused HR service.
He or she develops an employee-oriented company culture that emphases quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance.

Responsibilities:
• In consultation with the CEO and the relevant managers, prepare and implement the annual HR Plan to support the overall strategic aims and objectives of the Board.
• Identify, design and implement strategic HR projects, and liaise closely with the Accounts Department.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the HR department (issuing contractual documents, visas, annual leave, smooth running of the Human Resources Information System, maintain employees records up-to-date, communicate salary changes to Accounts dept, training records,..).
• Identify the recruitment needs, appropriate recruitment channels and then provide support to managers during the entire recruitment process.
• Support seniors and line managers, providing them with expert guidance, coaching and support on the full range of HR activities, in order to ensure a consistent and fair approach to people management throughout the Company.
• Manage investigations, disciplinary and grievance matters in conjunction with relevant managers.
• Develop, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures vs. local regulations, to ensure effective, fair and consistent management of staff and ensure that the staff handbook is comprehensive and up-to-date.
• Communicate relevant information, major/key changes occurring in the company, and employee career life to the appropriate audience.
• In consultation with line managers, manage the career of employees according to the company’s strategy, and develop action plans based on the People Review and performance of our employees correspondingly (training, recruiting, termination, mentoring, promotion, salary review,…) and monitor related costs against budget.
• Analyze market data to measure the competitiveness of our salary packages, make recommendation and assist with the annual salary review process.
• Monitor employees’ attendance and provide monthly management reports to the Board.
• Represent HR and participate in various internal groups and committees across the company.
• Design and manage the employee induction programme joiners and staff leaving process.
• Monitor HR trends throughout the company and provide management information on Key Performance Indicators to the Management Team as appropriate.
• Improve employees relations.

Requirements

Human Resources Degree (or equivalent) – University Diploma
• Proven generalist experience (minimum 6 years) including the ability to work at both strategic and operational levels
• Fully conversant and up-to-date with all aspects of GCC employment law and HR best practices
• High level of integrity
• Experience in the development and implementation of employment policies and procedures
• Experience at recruitment interviewing and assessment at a senior level
• Ability to work autonomously and flexibly
• Leadership skills
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Pro-active and self-motivated
• Excellent planning and organisation skills to meet deadlines
• Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, email and the Internet
• Excellent attention to detail
• Creative, forward thinker
• Strong facilitation skills
• Solid team player, but must be also autonomous
• A good working knowledge of HR systems
