Employment: Full Time

One of the leading Oil and Gas groups with operations across the world and over 50,000 employees. Their operation in Erbil, Iraq are now looking for an HR Manager to join their team.

The HR Manager will be responsible for working directly with the Business Leaders and Employees and the HR decisions that affect them directly.
The incumbent will be responsible for managing and implementing the new HR system across the Group, devising the processes that interface with the systems, developing new processes and policies for the UAE in all the key people activities and managing the HR legal and compliance risks.

• Manage and control the day-to-day Human Resources (HR) functions and ensuring compliance with governmental laws and regulations.
• Manage the accuracy of data input, ensure data is kept up to date and generate key HR reports for management. Recommend any modifications or additional functionality as required.
• Validate and rectify the payroll data to ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries and allowances.
• Provide staffing methodologies and fully manage the recruiting plans by identifying vacancies, producing job descriptions, conducting interviews, and selecting suitable candidates to help achieve the business targets, within budgeted staffing plans.
• Induction and Orientation –ensure all Employees are appropriately inducted in conjunction with line Leaders and any issues rectified during the probation period
• Performance Management – drive effective performance management systems and processes by ensuring that effective performance goals are in place so that individuals are measured and rewarded on the basis of their performance.
• Compensation and Benefits – to regularly benchmark external best practices to ensure that the Company attracts and retains top talent. Support the annual bonus process and recommendations.
• Compliance and Employee Relations – keep abreast of UAE and Iraq Employment law changes, implement and maintain HR compliance and ensure that best practices are followed in employee relations including the management of grievance, disciplinary and termination processes. Provide appropriate guidance to line leaders.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have at least 4 - 8 years track record of successfully working in the HR field undertaking the range of HR operations.

• Iraqi National
• Fluent in English and Arabic
• Numerate and accurate with excellent IT skills
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong influencing skills and the resilience and energy to “get things done”.
