Employment: Full Time

- As a member of the RM Management Committee, you would participate in the BU strategy definition and implementation.
- Articulate short-term business needs with long term HR Cluster strategy and integrate local environments in order to define, propose and manage a well-adapted and well-balanced HR answer for the BU.
- Anticipate and drive organisational changes in order to support in the best way strategic orientations and performance plans.

Key Role & Responsibilities

HR POLICIES DEFINITION AND PLANNING
- Propose and implement OHR plan that sustains the business orientations of the plant and supports the operation plan by a proactive management of skills and workforce
- Define and propose HR policies: recruitment, training and development, career management, reward policy, H&S and communication
- Propose new organisations -or optimise current ones-; share best practices with other HR plant managers.
- Identify means necessary to implement new organisations and support Leadership in change management

PAYROLL & PERSONNEL ADMINISTRATION
- Supervise Personnel Administration and Payroll for the site, ensuring on-time delivery, accuracy of information provided and legal compliance (especially for payroll, individual contracts, etc.)
- Identify areas of improvement in HR & administrative procedures and implement appropriate solutions in order to optimise cost and provide time and accuracy of the work handled

OMANISATION & GOVERNMENT RELATIONS
- Manage the recruitment of Omani Nationals as per the BU hiring plan.

Lafarge HR
- Train and retain Omanis on key positions and develop strategies for their retention.
- Act as a diplomatic representative in managing government stakeholders.
- Support the managers in managing work force issues, building trust and executing company policies in a professional manner.
- Pro-actively manage manpower and labour court disputes, and challenges accordingly.
- Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Provide advice or counsel employees, mediate disputes and manage conflicts.
- Work closely with the management team on key organisational projects with governmental parties and stakeholders involvement,
- Drive localisation initiatives and building company image externally.

O&HR OPERATIONS
- People Management of non-executive employees
- Recruit suiting profiles for up to Grade 13 in order to build high level teams
- Organise induction and training sessions and ensure that they are carried out
- Follow individual career progression and implement adequate skills development plans
- Ensure individual performance evaluation by managers
- Ensure consistency and follow-up of salary decisions

O&HR Support
- Provide line managers with methodology (e.g. team working) and tools, in order to help them efficiently manage their team and organisation
- Assist managers with day-to-day support in all HR issues
- Organise training sessions for managers on Human Resources management issues (e.g. coaching, individual performance evaluation, etc.)

Internal and external communication
- Develop and encourage internal communication; create network and maintain good relationship within theplant, adapting communication tools to each one; help the Management in internal communication actions
- Promote Lafarges values and culture within the BU

Social climate
- Measure social climate in BU in order to prevent tensions and conflicts
- Create a strong/positive climate and maintain high level morale via all necessary communication and animation tools

Health & Safety
- Promote Health & Safety policies within the BU.
- Assure that legal authorisations and licences are recorded, in line with the procedures and up-to-date

Lafarge HR
- Qualify, design and implement learning and development programs and tools that sustain necessary behavioral changes: training, organization development and change interventions, coaching.
- Ensure effective implementation of the Performance Appraisal System within the Company.

Internal
- Staff at all Management levels within the Cluster on a regular basis
- Group HR Team
- Staff across BU

External
- Survey Agencies
- Auditors

Requirements

- University Qualifications: M.B.A in HR
- Excellent Communication skills, Attention to Detail, Analytical Thinking, Big Picture Thinking ,assertive .
- Minimum 3 years experience in an MNC
