HR Manager (Construction/Property) - Isle Of Man
Our client is a leading Property Developer with operations throughout the UK.
They have an urgent requirement for a HR Manager to join the senior management team based from their head office on the Isle Of Man.
As HR Manager you will provide support and guidance on all aspects of HR to all regional offices and construction sites across the Isle of Man, UK and Jersey and will be the first point of contact for staff at all levels.
Main responsibilities:
- Assisting line managers with complex and wide ranging employee relations issues and to consult, advise and facilitate through to resolution
- Review of company documentation such as policies and procedures, staff handbook and contracts of employment, ensuring they are in line with current employment legislation and using a best practice approach in the absence of jurisdictional law
- Annual review and management of all company benefits including those provided by third parties, taking into account cost, administration and value to employees
- Managing the company recruitment processes including producing contract of employment, work permit applications and employment reference checks
- Providing advice and guidance to managers on a variety of employee matters, travelling to and working from regional offices where necessary
- Liaison with Training Services Division in respect of Apprenticeships and other Isle of Man Government led training initiatives
- Staff welfare through providing support and counselling to employees
- Identifying training needs and organising training where required, either external or internal
Requirements
- CIPD qualified with experience of working in the construction industry at HR Manager level
- Working in a multi-site environment
- Outstanding organisational skills
- Ability to work with people from all levels
- IT skills, including proficient use of Microsoft Office
- Working autonomously, with minimal supervision
- An interest in career development and training within the workplace
