Job description / Role
Reporting in to the General Manager, the position covers the implementation of the HR strategy management and development including policy / practices, discipline, grievance, counseling, pay and conditions, contracts, morale and motivation, and quality management issues. You will ensure the smooth running of the HR operations and services including the admin and additionally act as coach and a point of reference for expertise to the General Management on all HR aspects.
Key responsibilities include:
* Oversee all Health & Safety aspects, coaching the team on H&S matters
* Ensure compliance on H&S with the HR operations team
* Partner with the operations director for H&S and set the example for all employees
* monitor the financial performance of the HR department against budget, identifying and rectifying any issues
* Develop, recommend and implement improvements to departmental policy, ensuring all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality cost effective service to customers.
* Maintain accurate and complete employee files and other HR related information
* Provides communication on departmental expectations, motivates team members and identifies opportunity for improvements
* Ensure policies are followed and provides guidance and discipline
* Investigate and arbitrate and employee complaints and grievances, reporting and recommending any necessary actions.
* Provide team leadership consistent with company vision
* Establish and periodically monitor individual goals for team members in alignment with organisational goals.
* Ensure compensation and benefits for all employees are in line with company policy
Requirements
Candidates should hold a minimum of a Bachelors degree, and ideally be certified HR professionals or have a Masters in HR. You should have approx 10 years HR experience with at least 4 in a Managers position and have extensive knowledge of UAE Labour law.
Candidates must be fluent in Arabic.
