Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Implement an HR Service and Advisory methodology in the business that will drive an integrated value-added service to each department
• Ensure that approved HR policies are applied across the business using the HR Partners’ as facilitators of the process.
• Develop SOP’s and Work Flows to ensure standard application of all HR Partners services.
• Manage the HR Partners’ contribution within the Recruitment and Selection process
• Train and coach the team to become fully competent.
• Contribute to policy development to ensure Sohar Aluminium optimizes its business partnering function.
• Provide a pro-active and responsive HR Partner interface, ensuring successful and continuous delivery of excellent service to the business
• Action the SA Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) routines to maintain high EHS standards.
• Manage HR Partners cost centre budget

Requirements

Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Rescources/ Business Management with 8 years’ relevant experience

Skills and Knowledge
• Interpersonal and communications skills
• Negotiation and Influencing Skills
• Thorough understanding of strategic business plans and priorities
• Proven ability to interpret complex information and provide informed analysis
• Project management principles and methodologies

Sohar Aluminium was formed in September 2004 to undertake a landmark Greenfield aluminium smelter project in the Sultanate of Oman and is jointly owned by Oman Oil Company, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC - TAQA and Rio Tinto.

By implementing decades of industry insight in its design, specification and construction Sohar Aluminium has been created to ensure efficiency, environmental protection and the utmost safety of its workforce. The smelter has an annual production capacity of 375,000 tonnes of high quality Aluminium.

Omanisation, which currently stands at 72% of its workforce, is a driving force within the organisation.
