HSE Advisor

Job description / Role

A British Company is looking for HSE Advisor. The post holder is required to comply with the Companys Health & Safety strategy, policy and procedure to ensure a safe and healthy environment for staff members, visitors, contractors and others.

Requirements

The post holder must comply with the designated levels of responsibility as detailed within the Health and Safety Plan. As a minimum this will include:

Taking reasonable care to prevent harm to themselves and others.
Consider the potential for harm to others or the environment that may be caused by their acts or omissions and assist with risk assessments and incident prevention.
Work in accordance with information and training provided.
Refrain from and prevent employees intentionally misusing or recklessly interfering with anything that has been provided for Health, Safety and Environment reasons
Control and report any hazardous defects in plant, equipment and workplace, or shortcomings in the existing systems immediately.
Ensure that no employee undertakes any task for which authorisation and/or training has not been given.
Be able to deal effectively with sensitive issues, have a flexible approach and be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Capable of implementing new QSHE processes and business systems.
Auditing skills (integrity; tenacity; professionalism; credibility; tact)
Able to apply QSHE knowledge in a way that delivers practical, business led solutions.
Excellent negotiating skills with clients
Ability to communicate clearly verbally and written formats
Computer literate with competence in the standard MS Office applications.
Ideally based in Abu Dhabi
Preferably with valid UAE Driving License
Any Nationality
