The Role


STR Global in partnership with a global aggregates, cement and concrete business is recruiting for an HSE Advisor.

Job Scope:
• Head driver training center; monitor/evaluate IVMS data, target training where it is most needed
• Head the occupational health programme; report on the nurse activities whilst maintaining central records
• Collating proactive and reactive data, statistics and routinely reporting them to the SHE manager
• Document control
• Maintain training records and prioritise training needs
• Environmental reporting
• Manage database on staff suggestion schemes
• Assist in the further development of the quality management systems
• Primarily an office based focal point for all SHE matters and information with direct responsibility over the driver training programme and occupational health department.
• Reports to the SHE manager.

Requirements


Requirements


• Minimum of 5 years work experience in a SHE related environment
• Knowledge and understanding of ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 management systems
• Previous experience of working in a Gulf country
• Methodical, analytical self- starter with a strong personality
• Good communication skills
• Understanding of Microsoft Excel, word etc
• Holds a valid driving licence
• Previous experience on occupational health and/or transport safety preferable but not essential
