With long term prospects providing stability and career development, our employer is seeking to welcome a professional and experienced HSE Coordinator for their multi-billion dollar infrastructure project.

Reporting to the In Country Projects Manager for concerned Division and functionally to Health and Safety Manager, your responsibilities include:

Responsibilities:

• Review Health & Safety Management System documents; Management System Manual, Site Safety Procedures, Site Safety Plans, Records, Method Statement and Risk Assessments.
• Assists Site management in writing method statements and risk assessments for work being carried out by direct staff.
• Creates the project Health & Safety plan for each project in the concerned division.
• Conducts regular audits to ensure the company procedures and regulations are being implemented at each site.
• Attends IPT meetings and Division meetings.
• Collating of information and input into the Health, Safety & Security Project Plans, and reviewing Safety Plans in accordance with the Health & Safety Management System.
• Directs and assists in implementing strategic H&S objectives and initiatives within division in support of divisional and Corporate H&S requirements.
• Advising H&S Officers, Divisional Managers and all members of management in relation to all aspects of Health & Safety.
• Keeping up to date on legislation, good working practice and all external influences on Health & Safety, and assisting communication of changes, developments, etc. throughout the organization.
• Assisting the H&S Manager and In Country Projects Managers in implementing robust systems for monitoring Health & Safety performance, including contractors, against Health & Safety strategy, plans, objectives, performance indicators, policy, procedures and legislation.
• Liaising with third parties as required including Governmental Authorities, Client, and Local Authorities etc.
• Monitoring and inspecting safety equipment in accordance with procedures and guidelines so that they comply with statutory legal obligations.
• Leading full and detailed monthly safety audit and inspections to monitor compliance with legislation, codes of practice, company policy and procedures.
• Participating in contractor/vendor assessments, visits and audits and reporting the findings.
• Providing expertise and advice in the creation of safe systems of work and procedures in order to provide, a safe working environment for employees, clients, contractors and members of the public.
• Investigating serious incidents, reviewing accuracy of investigation findings and communication of the investigation and analysis to the Health and Safety Manager and Divisional Manager.
• Coordinating data analysis to monitor the achievement of the defined objectives.
• Collating various site Health and Safety data for the purpose of creating Key Performance Indicators of Subcontractor employees.
• Submitting a weekly and Monthly Health & Safety report for the concerned area.
• Conducting the Monthly Area H&S Meeting.
• Delivering internal training courses on health and safety topics.
• Maintaining high ethical standards and conducts themselves professionally at all times.

Requirements

Education / Certification Requirements:

NEBOSH General, International, Construction, Oil and Gas Certificate or Similar, IOSH, OSHA

Skills and Experience:

5 years’ experience as HSE Professional
Minimum 5 years’ overall experience in Construction or Oil and Gas related industries
Will need excellent administration and communication skills
Professional Membership to IOSH or IIRSM
Experience of ISO 9001, 14001, OSHAS 18001
