Responsibilities:
• The HSE country leader will have demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management system, maintain regulatory compliance and improve overall HSE culture
• Actively collaborate and participate as a valued member of the operations team to provide HSE leadership
• Provide guidance and technical support to the HSE officers, engineers or champions responsible for tactical HSE programs and process at project sites in their country, whilst working closely with the Regional HSE Leader
• Provide leadership and technical support to ensure compliance with applicable corporate and regulatory requirements, while minimizing the risk of potential adverse HSE events
• Creates and manages change through continuous exploration and learning

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelors degree or higher in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Engineering
• Minimum of seven years of working experience in the health, safety and environmental field
• Experience working with Oil & Gas, services, facilities maintenance or construction industries desired
• Minimum of two years experience conducting and leading internal audits and implementing HSE management systems
• Must be able to read and understand English and local language and technical and non-technical information for use in everyday decision-making processes
• Minimum of one year coaching business leaders/ managers through urgent and emergency conditions
• Up to 25-30% travel
• Strong computer, project management, and organizational skills
• Cognitive skills, analytical and problem solving skills, as well as ability to provide a sound and reliable judgment in complex situations
• Strategy and execution skills with ability to operate strategically, tactically, and operationally
• Strong influencing and negotiating skills, ability to motivate, build high performance cross-functional teams, and the capacity to lead a branch wide, geographically dispersed organization
Interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly establish and maintain rapport
• Conflict resolution skills
