Employment: Full Time

HSE Engineer - Abu Dhabi - Ruwais

Responsibilities:
- Conduct and / or Participate in COMPANY safety audits for CONTRACTOR and Sub CONTRACTOR
- Carry on risk assessment as directed by COMPANY senior safety engineer.
- Review the contract documents for each Construction Package in respect of Safety requirements and procedures and advise the Project Manager of any deficiency.
- Review and comment to the Project Manager, on site safety organizations and key personnel CVs as submitted by the Contractors.
- Review Safety Procedures as submitted by the Contractors and ensure implementation is in compliance with Contract requirements.
- Review Inspection, Test, Plans as submitted by the Contractors and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Ensure all activities on site are in compliance with safety procedures in respect of the format signed off by Contractors Safety Officer.
- Ensure Contractors safety staff are adequate on site and report to the Project Manager in case of shortfall.
- Review Contractors safety records, documents to ensure major construction equipment is maintained regularly.
- Ensure Contractors safety training for site labourers is regularly maintained.
- Ensure Contractors labourers on site are following safety procedures and report to Project Manager in case of deficiency.
- Closely monitor site activities, on a daily basis, issuing non-compliance and submit reports to the Project Manager.
- Participate in weekly meetings and monthly executive meetings.
- Coordinating with COMPANY senior safety Engineer to ensure that HSE policy is implemented by Contractors.
- Participate with PMC staff in reviewing and assessing of Close Out Report as submitted by Contractor.

Requirements

- (Should be qualified Engineer BSc or higher) The Safety Engineer shall be a qualified Engineer with minimum of 10 years experience in safety works in similar Projects with consultancy/Project Management company experience. He should be based in the UAE and aware of all ISO 14000 series requirements.
- Job Knowledge - Possesses the technical/professional knowledge required to successfully perform job duties Interpersonal Skills - Adheres to Hill's Standard of Conduct.
