Employment: Full Time

Job title: HSE Engineer
Location: Abu Dhabi / Dubai
Salary: 8000-12500 AED per month, + accommodation, transportation, medical insurance, Annual leave and annual flight tickets.

A long-term opportunity not to be missed with a leading construction company in Dubai. This market-leading client is searching for an experienced safety specialist who has the ability to make a major contribution to a pipeline project beginning in November.

You will be expected to:

Contribute to the preparation of HSE Plans and safe work methods, and ensure that both are carried out effectively.

Identify HSE risks and dangers and contribute appropriate preventative measures in the method statements.

Prepare HSE audit and assessment plans.

Evaluate the performance of subcontractors and determine their suitability for future projects.

Ensure toolbox meetings are held regularly by supervisors and foremen.

Issue HSE corrective action reports and hold inspections to verify satisfactory resolutions of follow up actions.

Organise regular meetings with subcontractors to review progress and propose actions to deal with any non-conformity.

Perform HSE audits on the compliance of supervisors, foremen, subcontractors and applicable suppliers.

Monthly equipment inspections.

Perform HSE test activities.

Act as a coordinator for the investigation of accidents and ensure that all reporting is in accordance with the Project HSE Plan.

Requirements

You will need:

5 years experience working within the construction industry.

Previous experience working on Pipeline Projects.

A NEBOSH certificate.

A Diploma or Degree associated with Engineering (preferably Civil or Mechanical).

Have affiliation with an International Safety Standards Organisation or knowledge of, (e.g. ISO, OSHA, Grad. IOSH. etc.)

Knowledge of writing method statements, auditing, first aid and HSE Legislation.

Ability to communicate effectively with those of other nationalities on site.

Ability to act on initiative and contribute to Safety meetings confidently.
