Job description / Role
Reporting to and assisting the HSE&S Manager with the oversight and management of Health and Safety by the Consultants and Contractors on the programme.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- In conjunction with the HSE&S Manager, review Health, Safety, Environmental & Security plans and procedures prepared by each design consultant and contractor for compliance with project Health, Safety and Environmental & Security policy.
- Support the Design Consultants and Contractors in the implementation of Health, Safety, Environment & Security policies and procedures
- Monitor the performance of Design Consultants and Contractors with respect to Health, Safety, Environment & Security and coordinate with the HSE&S Manager on issues
- Liaison with the Consultants HSE Managers to ensure an effective flow of health and safety information
- Execution of Health and Safety audits
- Collation and reporting of Health, Safety, Environment & Security Statistics
- In conjunction with consultants and contractors develop and implement action plans to improve Health, Safety, Environment & Security performance
- Provide Health and Safety technical expertise to programme staff
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience on construction projects
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- Valid safety training certificates indicating courses attended and subject matter
- Ability to speak sub-continental language/s
- User of MS Office
- Experience of major projects in the Middle East
- Full Driving License
