HSE Manager - Qatar - High Rise and Build

Job type: Permanent
Salary: 30,000 QAR + Medical + Flights

This excellent opportunity is for a HSE Manager to join the leading construction and development Company operating in Qatar, in one of the worlds most interesting growth markets. My client are an expanding company that strive to create lasting values within this market, working on High Rise and large scale commercial, industrial and residential projects.

Our client are looking for an experienced HSE Manager for their High Rise and build projects located in the new port project currently underway in Qatar. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following duties and responsibilities:

DUTIES:
- Directing the resources and activities of the department, supporting the HSE programs by providing guidance to the company senior management
- Reviewing internal HSE policies to ensure they are current with the latest national and international practices
- Conduct hazard/risk assessments and develop new recommendations from these
- Regular written reports and updates to senior management
- Assist the project teams in investigation of all project incidents and ensure the proper records are submitted correctly
- Scheduling of safety meetings on site to review the HSE performance and policies
- Responsible for the staffing and directing of the HSE Department
- Coordinate training programs to increase proficiency in safe practices and promote HSE consciousness
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and procedures as well as state/federal law

Requirements

- 15 years experience within the construction sector
- Engineering Degree or safety qualifications from and accredited association
- 5 years spent working as a Senior safety Engineer/HSE Manager
- Must have previous experience of working of high rise projects
- Must hold additional safety qualifications such as first aid, fire and safety etc.
