HSE Manager - Stadium Project

Job description / Role

Our client is a Global Leading Construction and Civil Engineering Contractor who have been set up in the Middle East for the last 25 years.

Due to a recent Major Project win, my client is currently recruiting for a Project HSE Manager to work on a $750m USD New Build Stadium project in Doha, Qatar as part of the States ongoing Construction plans for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The successful candidate should have extensive experience Major Construction Projects worth $500m USD and above. Previous Stadium experience is preferable but not a must.

This position will be responsible for:
- Preparation & implementation of the project EHS plan
- Identify potentially unsafe acts, areas and practice and educate people
- Work method modification Improvement.
- Monitor EHS practices, persuade to minimize non compliance
- Report incidents beyond control and unsafe occurrences
- Investigate unsafe occurrences and initiate preventive steps.
- Discuss near miss accidents with staff and workmen
- Monitor the safety statistics and insist on preventive actions.
- Conduct safety training programs and motivational programs
- Maintain Health & Environment related aspects
- Propagate the best practices followed at other locations.
- Posting of safety personnel and arranges the necessary safety tools as required by site.

Requirements

- Degree Qualified
- NEBOSH Preferred
- At least 18 years industry experience
- GCC experience advantageous but not essential
- Main Contracting experience
- Project HSE experience worth in excess of $500m USD
