This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSE Manager to join one of our prestigious projects in KSA.

As HSE manager your role is to provide frameworks, systems and processes for the project that enables successful HSE performance. This position will be reporting to Project Director.

Job responsibilities include:

1. To support the Project Manager in the delivery of project HSE objectives by overseeing the management of health, safety, quality and sustainability systems.
2. To support the Project Manager in the delivery of project HSE objectives by assisting in the production of project documentation such as the Project Management Plan.
3. To support the Project Manager in the delivery of project HSE objectives by overseeing local initiative to improve health, safety, quality and sustainability performance.
4. Ensuring effective implementation of the HSE system and policies pertaining to the projects for which they are responsible.
5. Advising project management on the state of health & safety and environmental issues within the business and of any concerns identified locally and promoting good practice relating to health & safety management.
6. Agreeing with the Project Manager an action list - identifying key stages in the procurement and construction process that will require the Safety Advisors input/attendance.
7. Assisting in the investigation and reporting of accidents, incidents and nonconformance reports and making recommendations for corrective action.
8. Developing and implementing local initiatives designed to improve occupational health & safety, quality and sustainability performance and bring about cultural change.
9. Encouraging and monitoring the setting and development of project based objectives and targets. These targets are to be project specific whilst being aligned with, and supporting, the business objectives and strategy.
10. Assisting in the review and agreement process of method statements where there is a significant risk to safety and environmental.
11. Undertaking compliance audits of the HSE system, with the assistance of trained staff.
12. Delivering Training and Awareness programs for staff.
13. Accountable for specific areas of responsibility and deliverables and manages the associated risks.
14. Interacts with client or users around specific work efforts and deliverables
15. Manages the activities of others to meet deadlines and quality standards taking account of impact outside area of responsibility.

Requirements

Who we are looking for:

1. Minimum 8 years of experience in HSE management position in a large construction project.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of current Workplace Health and Safety legislation.
3. Bachelor degree in engineering discipline.
4. Diploma/Cert IV in OH&S or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
5. High level of computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Aconex and SharePoint.
6. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, conflict resolutions and presentation skills.
