The RoleThe RoleThe Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for formulating and implementing HSE policies which are compatible with Gates Corporate strategy; meet the requirements of ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 standards; and satisfy the various statutory and regulatory requirements of Gates E & S global operations. This challenging position will involve the generation of HSE procedures, the development of training and awareness programmes, execution of risk assessments, internal and external audits and the monthly reporting of global HSE data. An element of international travel will also be required. The successful applicant will possess a technical degree and will have at least 5 -10 years HSE management experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment. He/she will also be familiar with the HSE requirements applicable to service personnel working in the Oil & Gas and Marine industries, and will have a proven ability to promote exemplary HSE practices, as well as being involved in corporate reporting structures. |
