HSE Officer

Job description / Role

- Ensure MSSs operation personnel follow and implement customers HSE procedures and rules
- Report to the QHSE Manager of any HSE issues for which attention is required
- Monitor and ensure that MSS operation personnel are working in a safe manner to protect themselves and others in the customers site.
- Liaise with customer concerned departments to issue the appropriate work permits prior starting any job
- Arranging and maintaining the Confined Space Entry Equipment and PPEs for each project
- Ensure all in use Confined Space Entry Equipment are calibrated and inspected prior use and ensure the PPEs are correctly used.
- Conduct daily safety talks
- Conduct HSE induction to the new staff
- Managing and maintaining the quality and quantity of the first aid kit/items
- Perform weekly first aid boxes checks
- Maintaining and performing weekly safety checks for safety equipment (fire extinguishers, fire blanket, Eye wash Bottle, spill Station)
- Assist on EHS system documentation and implementation
- Participate on risk assessment and environmental aspect analysis
- Managing HSE objectives and targets relevant to the functioned responsibility.
- Ability to work in different site location projects
- Ability to a just himself to work in a different working shifts

Requirements

- Diploma in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering as a minimum
- HSE certification (NEBOSH, OSHA)
- Minimum 3 to 4 years experience in health and safety in a similar role; preferable in the oil and gas industry.
