Job description / Role

Kentz have an urgent requirement for HSE Officers based in Qatar.
Responsibilities
Compliance with all applicable HSE legislative and contractual obligations required for the project.
Monitor day to day work activities for the adherence to project risk management strategies.
Provide support and direction for all project employees on HSE related issues.
Facilitate and assist in incident investigations.
Conduct scheduled HSE Inspections and Behavioural Based Observations on project activities.
Communicate to the project up to date HSE information, Safety and Environmental Alerts, Statistics and Incident Reports.
Assist in conducting formal HSE inductions and site orientations for new project employees.
Assist in conducting HSE training programs developed for the project.

Requirements
Education and Skills
•Diploma in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering
•Internationally recognized SHE qualification
•Ten (10) years' experience in SHE site role in the oil and gas/petro chemical industry.
•At least 3 years representing owner/client team
•Experience with international EPC contractors and vendors, in particular those involved in the construction of refining facilities
•Experience with PTW System and Safety Behavioural Programme implementation and management essential
•Experience in SHE inspection, auditing, JSA, Tool Box talk and work method statement essential
•Prior experience working in Ras Laffan, Qatar is an added advantage.
•Excellent understanding of Project Technical requirements
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills of English
•Excellent interpersonal skills
