Job description / Role
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION AND BASIC DUTIES:
1. Responsible to the Project Manager and HSE Manager
2. Responsible for developing the Project Health, Safety & Environmental Plan
3. Responsible for monitoring reporting on health, safety and environmental aspect of the project
4. Responsible for actively promoting safety awareness and constantly reviewing and updating the site safety procedures
5. Responsible for maintaining records and producing programme reports and statistics of all safety related incidents
6. Responsible for arranging safety induction courses for new staff and workforce recruits, advising site staff of safe methods of working and assessing potential hazards prior to commencement of and during the progress of work activities
7. Familiarise himself with the local regulations with respect to health and safety at work requirements and liasing with Government Officials as required, on matters of site safety.
8. Responsible for carrying out HSE Specific Risk Assessments for various site activities in coordination with the project team.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree or Diploma in related Construction/MEP field and holder of a NEBOSH IGC
Minimum 5 years experience on Construction Projects, with a value of 50m+ AED.
3 years minimum Gulf experience is essential as a Safety Officer
