Select Auto is an Al-Futtaim Automotive Company, providing premium solutions including sales, leasing & maintenance of heavy equipment, vehicles and power generation, to a variety of clients in austere locations. As the single point of contact for customers in these regions, Select will operate also act as an internal customer for the other automotive group companies.

We are currently looking for an experienced HSE Site Manager who will responsible for the overall implementation of the HSE plan.

The key responsibilities of this role will include:

* Overall responsibility for delivering HSE project requirements
* Assessing, organising and implementing of company standardised and contractually required HSE training for personnel, specifically but not limited to Level 1 H2S awareness training for all Contractor persons who will work or visit the worksite.
* In Conjunction with Project Manager, construct an annual training plan for ground based staff on the Client's projects for approval by the client.
* Overall responsibility for the compilation of project KPIs and safety statistics for the Client operations.
* Overall responsibility for recording, filing and notification of all HSE accident, incidents and near-misses reports and/or investigations to relevant personnel and regulatory and contractual bodies. Also to ascertain the root causes and suggest remedial actions for future accident prevention.
* Review and update all local, national and regulatory HSE laws and procedures to reflect same in the AFIS documentation and management systems. Also responsible for the Communication of same to relevant Al Futtaim personnel.
* Responsible for maintenance of all HSE records and files (contractual and obligatory) on project.
* To plan, implement and co-ordinate project HSE Committees as required and report on the same.
* Must be prepared to visit existing and potential geographical locations to assess, review, implement relevant level of company, contractual and obligatory HSE systems.
* Acts as technical expert for HSE programs, policies and procedures.
* Interfaces with operational staff to provide HSE content and review for work procedures for industry specific applications.
* Provides oil and gas industry and HSE technical direction, guidance and mentorship to project based HSE staff. Supports a learning environment.
* Supports and promotes the Company's policies, business philosophy, objectives and culture towards a Zero Tolerance approach.
* Helps ensure appropriate education and communication of new or changed HSE programs and initiatives.
* Corrects working conditions, using knowledge of industrial processes and safety and environmental standards.
* Interprets all relevant legislation, makes recommendations and advises management and employees to enable compliance.
* Evaluates completeness of facility environmental and occupational regulatory reporting and record keeping requirements. Leads improvements as required.
* Conducts site audits to evaluate facilities' compliance with safety and environmental regulations and identifies areas of improvement.
* In consultation with the Fleet Manager and Site Supervisors assist with the preparation of the daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to assess and manage work activities. Specifically the JSA is used to ensure hazards and risks are appropriately identified and managed to achieve the high safety standards and objectives expected on the project. The JSA is to be attached to the daily written permit in accordance with the Client HSE procedures.
* Implements environmental solutions and drives changes in processes / systems that lead to reduction in environmental waste streams.
* Review and advice on security SOPs that meet with the Client's approval.
* Others tasks, duties or special projects as directed

Requirements

To apply for this role you should have the following skills, experiences, knowledge and qualifications:

* Must have expertise in Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSE) disciplines
* Must have experienced in optimising the design, training and implementation of HSE, with particular focus on the oil and gas service sector and the operation of heavy construction and power generation equipment
* Must have NEBOSH Level 1 - 2 General Certificate, or member of a recognized Industry body (IOSH, IEMA, IRCA etc.), or equivalent internationally recognized standard of qualification / experience
* Must have 5 - 10 years' experience in Oil & Gas Industry and 2-3 years supervisory/management experience.
* Must be a qualified trainer in HSE training packages
* Must have knowledge of ISO 14001/18001
* Must have experience in Industry best practices
* Must have good leadership and planning skills
* Must have the ability to interact at client and Senior Management level
* Must have very Good verbal and written English skills
