The RoleThe RoleManage Health, Safety and Environmental programs and systems in a manufacturing environment to ensure compliance with legal obligations as well as company policies and procedures. Maintaining a register of legal requirements for the HHP facility. Manage distribution Safety and Environment systems (Company’s safety system, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001) to manage compliance and promote continual improvement Implement distributor HSE annual plan Participate in distributor cross-audit program Guide and support branch level HSE resources (Safety Team Leaders, Branch Manager) and safety committees. Lead Branch Safety Committee. Manage environmental compliance issues at branch locations including waste disposal and tracking, permits and pollution prevention. Assist in identification and management of energy efficiency projects in the distributor. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of HSE metrics such as scorecard measures and GHG metrics, and maintain appropriate recordkeepi8ng as required by law. Administer Accident Investigations, Near miss Investigation and create Procedures, Measures to focus H&S continuous improvement. Provide written reports, analysis of accident. Complete closure of corrective actions identified during audits, accident investigations and risk assessments, by due date. Use Six Sigma methodology in the HSE continue improvement process. |
RequirementsRequirementsMinimum 3 - 5 years Health, Safety & Environmental Practitioner in a Manufacturing Environment, preferable in m otors or metal sheet manufacturing. Management experience preferred. Degree required. Preferred bachelors Degree in related field (Engineering degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial) Conversant with HSE Legislation (essential) NEBOSH IGC is a must. Experience in HSE Management Systems (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001) |
