Employment: Full Time

The HSSE&Q Director will Provide a senior HSSE&Q management service across Projects that is effective and suitable to support company and Project objectives. Ensure that the service remains effective and suitable by effective management of competent personnel. Provide regular, reliable reports and data for monitoring Project HSSE performance and informing management decisions. Identify and promote opportunities for performance improvement. Ensure that OPO HSSE requirements are widely and consistently understood and implemented on designated Projects.

1. Requirement
Offshore, rig build experience is a must for this position.

Qualifications/Experience:
• Relevant HSSE&Q degree or NEBOSH Diploma plus,
• 10 years’ experience in construction HSSE management / Oil & Gas industry

Or if qualified by experience:
• 15 years’ experience in HSSE of which,
• 10 years’ experience in construction HSSE management/ Oil & Gas industry.

• Excellent knowledge of relevant International standards, (e.g. ISO 14000, OHSAS 18000).
• Familiarity with current HSE Management methodology, tools and techniques including performance improvement, corrective / preventive action (CAPA,) and incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Dedicated to the delivery of exemplary safety performance.
• Ability to effectively motivate, lead and support a multi-cultural team.
• Identify potential improvements and support implementation best practices.
• Assisting clients in meeting their obligations to Regulatory and Certification bodies.
• All required activities undertaken whilst remaining within budget.
• Must comply with the Company Code of Business Conduct (COBC) and Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) requirements.
• BOSIET - Basic Offshore Safety Instruction and Emergency Training.

Responsibilities
• Oversee day to day management of HSSE&Q for OPO EPIC activities on designated Projects.
• Leadership, responsibility and approval authority for all aspects of HSSE including objectives, schedules/programmes, plans, resources, documentation, file structures, eBMS implementation, ISO14001 & OHSAS18001 compliance, HSSE legal compliance, incident response/investigation on designated Projects.
• Implementation, review and monitoring of HSSE component of the BMS on designated Projects .
• Management supervision and direction of HSSE personnel including Advisors, Supervisors, Managers, Trainers.
• Work closely with the client managing their project needs.
• Understanding the detrimental responsibilities of the $BN projects and risks that comply.
• Oversee the development and application of hazard identification and risk assessment strategies to reduce the risks across the division to ALARP.
• Maintain a daily working relationship with Project HSSE team, line management and subcontractors in relation of their respective compliance with the provisions of the HSSE policies and legal requirements. And also with key Clients in respect of their expectations.
• Overseeing the managing the HSSE component of the Project action tracking system.
• Ensure OPO HSSE requirements are communicated to all Projects and other relevant personnel and verify compliance (eg through meetings, inspections, monitoring, and audits).
• Participate in and where necessary lead the investigation of major incidents and high potential near misses on designated Projects.
• Oversee the implementation of HSSE compliance assurance programmes on designated Projects.
• Ensure Corporate Objectives, Policies and Procedures are cascaded to and implemented on designated Projects.
• Oversee the startup of Project HSSE systems, procedures and management framework on designated Projects.

Requirements

Must have Rig Experience
Must have offshore build experience
Must have worked with top tier Oil & Gas operations
Must have 20+ years at senior level - director level roles.
Must have led new builds, and have manage build with a values of up to $500,000
