HSSE Engineer

Job description / Role

To provide Project Management with continuous advice and support to ensure that HSSE remains an integral part of the Project equal in priority to operations and profitability. To maintain the HSSE management and implementation of all procedures, policies and standards, striving for consistent and sustainable Service Delivery excellence. Systematically and continuously improving the safety of Project personnel, service delivery, overall efficiency and effectiveness of the operations, protection of health of the personnel including sustainable development and protection of the environment.

To ensure the operations to comply with the latest legislative requirements on safety aspects.
To coordinate with the Contractors HSSE personnel.
To plan and carry out HSSE inspections, and to report any unsafe acts and conditions, ensure correct and proper recording of all inspections and finding.
Participate in planned HSSE meetings.
Conduct HSSE audits as per planned schedule, compile reports for the HSSE Managers review.
Maintain the HSSE management system, ensure filing and arching is in place and maintained.
To ensure all necessary documentation, instructions and correspondences related to HSSE will be issued in the professional and timely manner.
Assist with accident or incident investigation.
Report weekly and monthly as required by the HSSE Manager.
Deliver professional HSSE training and instructions.

Requirements

With tunnel experience.
Communication: Oral and Written in English and multi-ligual.
Planning and Organizing of HSSE office and systems.
Professional approach to Contractor(s).
Auditing skills (OHSAS 18001/ISO14001).
Investigation skills (Casual factor).
Excellent team leader and motivator.
Engineering Degree or comparable Technical Bachelors degree with a bias toward Civil Engineering; NEBOSH Cert / Diploma / NVQ4.
