Job description / Role
STR Global in partnership with an international organisation is recruiting for a HSSE Manager for prestigious airport projects in Doha.
The role of HSSE Manager covers the development and implementation of management systems for HSSE, in line with BS OHSAS 1800:2007 and ISO 14001:2004 standards.
You will need to be capable of delivering innovative HSSE management interventions to promote a culture of continuous improvement with a Zero Harm philosophy.
You will need to be experienced in delivery of HSSE training and analysis and incident investigation through root cause analysis.
As the HSSE Manager you will be responsible for validation and implementation of HSSE plans, ensuring processes and procedures are in place to manage risks. You will also undertake inspections and audits as well assessing HSSE performance identifying areas for improvement.
You will be responsible for emergency preparedness, including developing and implementing Emergency Preparedness Plans (EPP’s), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOP’s) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
Requirements
We are seeking candidates who:
Have a background as a HSSE Manager, degree qualified with a minimum 20 years overall experience and 10 years experience in the field of HSSE on prestigious build related projects.
NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications are also essential.
