Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Client: Leading manufacture of HVAC equipment, a pioneer in the air conditioning industry.

The Key responsibility include but not limited to handling efficiently all procurement activities related to HVAC

Key Result Areas:
1. Warehouse Management
2. Warehouse - Material Management
3. Warehouse Reporting
4. Purchasing - budget & pricing
5. Logistics
6. Customer service
7. Staff development

Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement procurement processes, material plans, supplier qualification strategies, structure, plan and engagement of the procurement teams to procure equipment, materials & systems complying to project Quality and Specification requirements.
- Provide project based accurate forecasts to the Project Manager on cost, delivery and performance of sub-contractors.
- Manage the purchasing functions and the MIS tools available to ensure on time delivery of inventories.
- To procure materials and subcontract in timely manner within approved budgeted cost.
- Prior to ordering, to check all ex-stocks availability in central stores and sub stores.
- To ensure timely delivery of equipment, material & systems to support site installation works as per approved work program.
- Restructure the procurement department and establish a competent team
- All procurement process should conform to management approved procedures and policies with respect to time, cost, and quality.
- New sources for all the current suppliers of raw material
- Prepare documentation for internal process as per ISO Standards.
- Develop and maintain good relations with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Maintain company reputation & credibility by fair dealings and prompt payment.

Requirements

- B.S. degree in Business, Engineering or other relevant field.
- 10 years + experience in successfully leading global and domestic purchasing and inventory control. 5+ years should have been in a senior position
- APICS - CPIM certification preferred.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the best global supply chain practices.
- Thorough understanding of contract preparation and negotiation
- Excellent responsiveness to user requirements and high level of internal customer satisfaction.
- In-depth knowledge of QMS and processes, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 .
- Posses ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple on-going tasks
- Strong technical and analytical skills and innovative problem-solving capacity
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the implementation of process/performance improvement initiatives.
- Good understanding of budgeting, financial analysis and cost control practices.
- Highly proficient in the use of MRP II, ERP System, MS Office, MS Projects and other common desktop computer utilities
- Team player with excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills in English
- Office environment, subject to stress caused by changing tasks, tight deadlines, heavy workload and some travel required.
