HVAC/MEP General Manager

Job description / Role

Inspire selection are working in partnership with a Construction and Facility Management Service provider based in Oman. Due to growth within the region and an ever increasing demand for HVAC Services, they are currently recruiting an Engineering General Manager for their HVAC and MEP Construction division.

Reporting into the CEO, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Supervising Project Managers of MEP projects, Cold Rooms and HVAC Projects
- Active involvement in Tendering / Estimation / Negotiations for the award of MEP / HVAC / Cold Rooms contracts.
- Increasing sales through in-depth understanding of the local market, main contractors and consultancy firms.
- Sourcing engineers, technicians, and labour for various contracts from across the globe and reducing the cost of procurement.
- Improving company policies and procedures in relation to the Projects Division.

Requirements

- BSc Mechanical Engineering
- Must have GCC experience
- Oman experience is desirable
- Must have strong Business Development experience as this role will initially be sales focused
- Excellent relationship manager
- Experience within a contracting/construction company managing HVAC projects
- Minimum 15-20 years previous experience in managing multiple projects at the same time
- Experience in the preparation of tenders, procurement, and in acquiring contracts though pricing and negotiating with clients
- Very high communication skills with consultants, clients, and main contractors
