Job description / Role
Our client is an International Company specializing in providing technological services to companies from design to installation and maintenance. With a global presence in over 30 countries, our client is now looking for an HVDC Systems Expert to join their team in Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities:
This role focuses on the maintenance, trouble shooting, and repair of the conversion / inversion valves and associated controls and protection equipment. This would include, but not be limited to the following:
• Thyrister Converter and Inverter Valve Towers / Valves
• DRPS (Dynamic Reserve Power Sharing) Controls
• Controls for the back-up generators
• Cooling Controls and Equipment
• Valve Base Electronics (VBE)
• Valve and Pole Controls
• Fire Detection Systems
• Station Alarm Systems
• Fiber Optic Systems
• Protection Systems
• Fault Recorders
• HMI Equipment
Requirements
• Degree in relevant discipline.
• Minimum 10 years’ hands on experience in control systems and protection of AREVA/ALSTOM Grid converters and AREVA/ALSTOM Grid substations.
