Job description / Role

- Must have the math or computer skills to calculate recipes as needed, to produce the correct quantity of finished product
- Must ensure that all the necessary ingredients are ready for use each day.
- Check production schedule to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake.
- Measure and mix ingredients to form dough or batter, consistently following recipes.
- Make the breads needed by the menu or requested by the chef.
- Monitor baking process to identify needed adjustments.
- Observe products as they bake, checking color and adjusting controls
- Prepare items that are needed for the following days consumption.
- Keep working area in good sanitary order and rotate both stock and service finished as well as semi-finished goods to achieve the highest quality products.
- Use a variety of kitchen tools, including electric mixers, pans, rolling pins, and cutting tools.
- Handle and move ingredients, tools, and cooking pans.
- Develop new recipes as needed
- Follow the formulas on a consistent basis to keep the quality and food cost constant.
- Fully understand and comply with all country, city and municipal regulations that pertain to health and safety requirements of the restaurant and guests.
- Perform all other duties when asked in order to assure the smooth running of the operation.
- Have experience in Gluten Free

Requirements

- A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in varied kitchen positions including food preparation, line cook, fry cook and expediter
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Gluten Free concept.
