Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The candidate must have managerial experience and be capable of leading & mentoring a team of Know Your Customer / Customer Due Diligence (KYC / CDD) and documentation specialists.

Additionally, the incumbent must have a core background and expertise in KYC on-boarding and enhanced due diligence.

The position covers: KYC & AML advisory experience with respect to on-boarding and reviews, client maintenance, updating / drafting DOIs, implementation of policies, strong understanding of Private Banking compliance, knowledge of Suspicious Activity Report filings/investigations and sanctions compliance.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage e2e client approval and periodic review process for all PvB clients
- Ensure adherence to efficiency and effectiveness KPIs including error rates, turn-around time and team productivity.
- Support /oversee key projects related to client on-boarding, periodic review and CDD matters
- Liaise with auditors and other stakeholders for audit and assurance related matters.
- Ongoing training and development of Client Approval & Review team.
- Advising and guiding the Private Banking Front Office and Support functions with respect to client due diligence queries, internal policies and local laws on AML/CFT.
- To keep abreast of legal and regulatory changes in prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing and its implications on client on-boarding and documentations process and requirements

Requirements

- Minimum 10+ years relevant experience in AML / KYC and / or Client Onboarding related functions focusing on private clients / corporates.
- Compliance knowledge applicable to the Financial Services industry - Professional Certification on AML/CFT.
- Experience from Banking, Financial Services sector, Consultancies practices and / or regulatory bodies
- Regional exposure and knowledge of Middle East/UK/Jersey AML / KYC regulations / practices will be an added advantage
