Head, FCC Surveillance & Analytics, MENAP

The Regional Head of Surveillance and Analytics supports the Regional Head of FCC Controls in defining, based on frameworks and quantum techniques, a transaction monitoring and screening framework appropriate in the region so that relevant alerts are generated for investigations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Apply quantitative techniques to develop intelligence and tune systems to better identify and mitigate risk efficiently
- Build solutions to monitor for financial crime typologies
- System and tuning oversight for surveillance, screening and Customer Due Diligence (""CDD"")
- Understand the technical aspects of Surveillance Systems, Detection Scenario typologies and demonstrate experience in developing strategy leading to deployment of advanced statistical techniques and tools to optimise performance
- Lead end-to-end activities related to AML Surveillance Systems optimisation and tuning for the Region through deployment of statistical techniques and advanced Analytics capabilities supporting Financial Crime Intelligence Operations within the FCC team
- Define processes to ensure continuous Data Quality evaluation and reporting dashboards
- Look for areas of opportunity to continue to optimize operations
- Develop and maintain dashboards and metrics that allow FCC to dynamically monitor operational metrics
- Provide analytic insights into system optimization
- Ensure that DSs developed and deployed are fit-for-purpose not just from a regulatory view-point, but assist the Bank to achieve its goal of leading the way in fighting financial crime
- Oversee a team of Analysts and work closely with the Global Head of FCC Surveillance and analytics to continue optimisation for the region on a continuing basis
- Work with the Financial Crime Compliance group and establish a team of analytics professionals and associated best practice methods
- Demonstrate leadership in engaging with relevant stakeholders of the Financial Crime Compliance group
- Undertake research and development of methodologies that are consistent with the AML strategies of the Bank
- Maintain documentation for systems owned in FCC, e.g. rule book
- Work closely with GTO to ensure accurate data flow, better data resolution for optimised and accurate surveillance work
- Collaborate with essential stakeholders to develop and deliver analytics dependent solutions to combat money laundering and financial crime

Requirements

- You will have experience in a similar role and able to demonstrate the following experience:
- Ability to partner with the business to make decisions based on the knowledge and interpretation of current and possible future policies, practices, trends and information of financial crime
- Develop and implement financial crime compliance arrangements/frameworks (programs, policies and procedures) for bank and business lines
- Implement FCC/sanctions/AML/ABC risks identification and assessment and advise business on the findings
- Partner with Business and Operational Risk to identify and mitigate financial compliance risks
- Review system safeguards and recommend process enhancements
