Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Providing leadership to IT systems, prioritizing projects and ensuring commitments are met while providing high quality and cost effective systems that meet customers' expectations.
- Directing all initiatives for corporate IT systems and ensuring that employee remains focused on customer expectations and satisfaction.
- Directing and managing employees, including hiring as per organization chart, performance management and assessment, development, mentoring, training and resources / employees budgeting.
- Plan and formulate cost efficient budget for the IT Development function.
- Review and validate all network and business support systems investments in line with the budget and minor deviations outside the budget.
- Identify and implement strategies for reducing costs on technical assets (operating expenditure).
- Evaluate and select the IT tools that the development team will utilize in software development processes.
- Project manages all initiatives according to planned time, budget and quality parameters.
- Work towards achieving the business plan of the function within budget.
- Monitor the service offerings of the company and ensure services are in line with customer requirements.
- Interact with sales & marketing function to understand customer requirements.
- Lead the team to provide ongoing insights and proactive advice to internal customers regarding technical aspects related to their technologies, processes and equipments.
- Design and develop technology/ innovation ventures.
- Ensure all business processes are aligned and automated so that manual work around are minimized.
- Design and implement disaster recovery plan and business continuity plan.
- Periodically monitor customer complaint/ query resolution processes and service levels of the team.
- Provide support and input into the annual financial plan and budgeting process.
- Design and approve training course selection and participation for all IT Development positions in line with the budget in agreement with the Group CIO.
- Develop talent within the team by providing consistent direction and support to achieve stretch targets, take leadership positions and maintain high motivation levels within the team.
- Act as a key resource and liaison to other functional areas of the Companys business, building productive cross-functional relationships.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and senior management to represent estimated completion of software development requests.
- Monitor industry trends and identifies best practices in software standards technologies and standards management

Requirements

The job holder has to have a minimum of 10 years experience in a management/leadership position within a technical function of which 5 years should be in designing and implementing network related systems and architecture.

- Should also have experience in the projects and planning functions.
- Masters Degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or related field.

Other skills required:
- Strong analytical and logical problem solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication and relational skills, good organizational and project management skills; sound judgment; initiative; flexibility; detail-oriented
- Internet/intranets.
