The RoleThe RoleKey accountabilities include: • Plan, lead and organize and ensure that the Procurement, Contracting and Material Management plans/programs are met through optimization and efficient utilization of available manpower & resources. • Formulate and monitor implementation of new procurement, contracting and inventory control policies, procedures and systems. • Budgeting and Cost Control. • Tendering Process. • Verification and approval of Purchasing & Contracting Documentation. • Maintain and improve contacts with Suppliers. • Establishment of Contracting practice • Strategic Planning for Procurement and Contracting. • Commercial Evaluation of Projects. • Be aware of technological trends for increased effectiveness and/or cost reduction. |
RequirementsRequirementsBachelor's degree in relevant Engineering discipline from an accredited institution with a minimum of 12 years direct and relevant experience in a procurement function within the oil/gas or petrochemical industry. In addition to it Professional Certification in Material/Supply management is essential. Apart from the above the candidate should have strong leadership skills and should be able to manage and lead a team. He should also have experience in the implementation/computerization of the purchasing process. |
