Job Description
* To promote, lead and manage the culture and practice of compliance with the letter and spirit of all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and ethical standards in the conduct of the private banking business in MENA, so as to protect and enhance the reputation of the Bank.
* To advise management and promote best practices and company policies, as aligned to the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), Central Bank of the UAE, MENA region, and the cross-border implications across various booking centers.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
* To provide a pro-active advisory and consultancy service to the Business on compliance and regulatory issues across the region and relevant booking centers.
* To support the Business in establishing and monitoring appropriate arrangements for meeting legal and regulatory obligations and high standards of conduct of business, in accordance with Group and local standards
* To drive the development, implementation and regular review of policies and procedures on compliance risks and issues that are material to the Business, including in particular Anti-money Laundering, Know Your Customer, and fraud prevention - ensure adequate staff awareness and training.
* To establish an effective interface with Group Private Bank Legal & Compliance, Local Legal & Compliance, Group Internal Audit, Operational Risk Management, and other relevant functions to ensure compliance weaknesses are identified and addressed.
* Assume the role of MLRO for the Private Bank MENA to support the Bank's efforts in combating money laundering and terrorism financing activities.
* Ensure data protection and client confidentiality.
* Support Private Bank in the development of products through the product program process and identify generic reputation, ethical, regulatory and compliance risks affecting PB products and make recommendations for approval.

* Signing off on new accounts and on-going due diligence
* Approving new products, processes and initiatives

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills
* Bachelor degree holder major in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related disciplines.
* Strong and relevant compliance experience in banking industry or regulatory body with exposure to money laundering and AML compliance.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work effectively with business units.
* Proficiency in written English.
