The Role


The Role

A leading Investment Bank in Kuwait wishes to recruit competent Finance & Accounts Professionals to head their Branches & Subsidiaries Accounting.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Controlling the performance, accounting, key events, consolidations and valuations of subsidiaries and branches.
- Reviewing the key accounting policies of the subsidiaries and ensuring harmony of the accounting policies of the company.
- Guiding the overseas branches/subsidiaries head of accounting staff on selection of accounting policies.
- Advising the year-end/quarter-end/month-end reporting target dates and information package contents to the overseas branches and subsidiaries.
- Review and monitor treasury and investment positions on a daily basis and ensure accuracy and integrity of all accounting events.
- Review the clients fund inflow in the private equity deals in accordance with the agreed private equity deal structure/placement agreement
- Assist the department in preparation of monthly and quarterly income forecasts by providing reliable positions and MTM forecasts.
- Provide necessary support and expertise to the Accounts and Reconciliation Unit on all accounting and reporting issues stemming from IFRS, CBK, KSE or other regulatory bodies etc.

Requirements


Requirements

- Degree from a recognized university with CPA or ACCA.
- 10 - 15 years of post qualification experience preferably in financial and banking industry.
- Good knowledge of all aspects of investment banking, assets under management and treasury business.
- Comprehensive knowledge of International Accounting Standards/International Financial Reporting Standards.
