Job description / Role

As the Application Development Manager you will plan, coordinate and direct all application development activities for the organization ensuring completion of all projects on time, within budget and with all promised functionality.

Key duties will include:
- Introducing new and improved systems that will add to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the group including new applications, systems software, and/or enhancements to existing applications
- Coordinating with various business units to improve operational results through technology solutions
- Applying proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide development teams on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems for the entire organization.
- Managing the development and deployment of new applications, systems software, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise
- Managing and provide direction for the application development teams in support of business operations, including obtaining, training and developing an adequate and qualified staff of programmers and team leaders.
- Providing technical leadership to project managers and programmers working on development project teams
- Preparing, establishing, and monitoring budgets to ensure delivery within budget

Requirements

- BS degree is required, advanced degree is preferred
- 8+ years information technology experience required with at least one year in a managerial capacity
- Willingness to work beyond regular work schedule when needed to fulfill the demands of the position
