Head of Business Systems Development

Our client, a leading Islamic bank in the GCC, has the following career opportunities due to the current strategic expansion of their business in Qatar. The bank's total financing portfolio grew rapidly in the third quarter of 2014 reflecting a high growth rate. The bank has built a reputation as a highly valued, Shariah-based financial institution, not only locally, but also regionally and internationally. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Implement of major banking systems and IT infrastructure projects.
- Develop information security policies and guidelines, core banking systems migration and merger projects, disaster recovery planning and set-up
- Building software development team
- Projects Management
- Review and understand the Project Scope
- Monitoring the progress of the Project and ensure that the team meets the agreed time lines in accomplishing the tasks
- Business Development
- Coordinate for weekly/monthly conference calls and business meetings with Technology/Business Development teams

Requirements

- Professional experience in banking with at least 10 - 15 years industry knowledge.
- At least 5-7 years experience in a senior role within a similar role.
- Strong leadership & communications skills.
- A relevant Degree, desirably with a Masters &/or relevant qualifications.
