Head of Buying and Merchandising

Job description / Role

Leap29 are recruiting on behalf of a luxury department store in Saudi Arabia that requires a Merchandising/Buying Director to join their business. This is an exciting opportunity to Head the Buying and Merchandising department of an internationally recognized store contributing to the continued success of this luxury brand in Saudi Arabia.

The new Merchandising/Buying Director will be responsible for the management of the buying department while ensuring business plans are met. You will be required to manage a team of Buyers across the departments, ensuring a range of products are delivered to satisfy customer need.

Requirements

- A minimum of 15 years experience in a Merchandising/Buying capacity
- Educated to at least High School level however a Fashion/ Business Degree would be an advantage
- Have an interest in fashion and accessories
- Must have experience in multi brand and department store concept
- Experienced in negotiating price of stock with suppliers
- Managerial experience overseeing a multicultural team
