Leap29 are recruiting on behalf of a new luxury franchised department store in Qatar that requires a Head of Buying to join their business. This is an exciting opportunity to Head the Buying department of an internationally recognized store contributing to the success of a brand new project which is currently in the building phase of development.
The new Head of Buying will be responsible for the management of the buying department while ensuring business plans are met. You will be required to manage a team of Buyers across the departments including Ladies Accessories and Childrenswear, ensuring a range of products are delivered to satisfy customer need.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Buying capacity
- Educated to at least High School level however a Fashion/ Business Degree would be an advantage
- Have a strong interest in ladies fashion and accessories
- Must have experience in start-up business, managing P & L and department store concept
- Experienced in negotiating price of stock with suppliers
- Managerial experience overseeing a multicultural team
- Candidates must have either fluency in Arabic or French
