The Role


Develops and implements structured products and treasury marketing plan, manages and controls the financial assets and funding requirements of the bank and utilization of the Banks funds in the most optimal manner so as to maximize profit within the risk parameters and maintaining new products to our corporate clients.

• Effectively manage the financial markets activities; in particular achieving corporate sales markets funding and investments strategic objectives.
• Assisting with developing hedging strategies and pricing analysis for corporate and wholesale market products.
• Provides ideas to corporate clients on their interest rates hedging.
• Provides structured products to our corporate clients and coordinates with Relationship Managers for their clients hedging requirements.
• Responsible for the management of net foreign exchange exposure by hedging forex risk. Authorizes the dealing in forex and on the money market on behalf of the bank in accordance with overall objectives and the regulatory framework so as to earn adequate dealing profit and meet the operational requirements of the bank. Drafts policies and procedures regarding conduct of the forex business and managing foreign exchange risks for approval of the management.
• Identifies the need for funds in local currency/foreign currency to match the operations of the bank and lending thought the credit department and implements optimal funding strategies. Accepts deposit from financial institution and clients at rates favorable to the bank.
• Monitors the viability of funds for gainful utilization and placement/investment with approved financial institution and proceeds as per approvals and guidelines of the management.
• Markets the forex and large deposit business for the bank by identifying profitable opportunities and concentrating resources on those areas that product the best return.
• Gives and negotiates rates for placement of funds and sourcing of funds. Advises the branches /offices about exchange/interest rates to be quoted to customers.
• Ensures that the stipulated liquidity ratio is maintained and the reserve specified by CBO is met, including placement of deposits with CBO as appropriate.
• Liaises with investment institutions, investment brokers, banks &financial institutions and regulatory authorities for treasury management.
• Continually reviews departmental reports and statements on the P&L Liquidity, cash flow and advises Management of Significant tends to manage the Asset-Liability position of the Bank. Identifies measures and manages all interest rate and currency risk.
• Visits Treasury Corporate clients and Strengthen relationship with Ministry, Pension Funds and major customers.
