The Role

Based in Doha, Qatar. One of the largest diversified Arab banks with an international presence.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to examine the entire communications strategy both within and outside the Group and manage the overall media related activities locally and internationally. The candidate is responsible for devising and implementing the PR strategy and managing the relationship with the PR agency. In addition you will be overall responsible for creating, managing and implementing a pro-active strategy aimed at stakeholders including the creation/ maintenance of a segmented VIP contacts database and formulating a strategy for publication of the bank’s annual report and the Group reporting.

Reporting to the GM, Communications you will manage a team consisting of internal and external experts with an emphasis of building relationships internationally across all channels; TV, print, online. You will also be highly versatile looking after CSR initiative, advertising functions and monitor PR activities ensuring the Bank is positioned appropriately.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications and PR related areas, MA is a definite plus
• Minimum of 10 years experience in a major bank of which at least 4 years in a senior managerial role
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Track record in managing a diversified team
• Strong relationships with the media, internationally ideally
• Innovative thinker with experience in creating strategy
• Strong command of the English language, Arabic an advantage.
