Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Directs media management strategies for Company activities and manages relations with local, regional and international media.
- Ensures Company develops effective media responses through message development and adherence to media policy & procedures.
- Supports the PR Crisis & Emergency Response Team in all relevant drill/training exercises and events.
- Ensures all media releases and other external communication materials are of high quality and fit for purpose.
- Leads Company media monitoring and distribution.
- Manages and approves the production of all communications materials and acts as the custodian of the Nakilat brand internally and externally.
- Builds and sustains effective working relationships with government departments and agencies, media, stakeholders, and Q-companies to support company objectives and help meet communications needs.
- Develops, recommends and implements corporate strategies, plans and initiatives to identify, improve and sustain a consistent corporate image.
- Coordinates Public Relations involvement, assistance and support to Nakilat departments to ensure the success of each event and acts as Nakilats PR Key Contact / Focal person.
- Responsible for placing all advertisements and messages.

Requirements

- B.A. in Journalism/Media Communications, Public Relations or equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience in Public Relations or Communications (oil & gas or shipping industry experience is an asset).
- Fluency English language.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in the use of Graphics Design packages (for example InDesign and Photoshop) would be valuable.

Our fleet of vessels transport LNG produced from Qatars North Field, the worlds largest non-associated gas field with approximately 15% of the worlds total proven reserves to global markets. These vessels, ordered from Korean shipyards, incorporate the latest technology for safe, reliable and cost-effective transportation of LNG.
