As part of our strategic growth plans, we currently have an exciting opportunity to join the team as the Head of Communications. This is a senior management role; accountable for the development and implementation of a communications strategy consistent with WSPs strategic goals. The role includes internal and external strategic communications, public relations, corporate branding, and media engagement and management.

In this newly created position you will be expected to lead and/or provide support to the team and the business on a range of operational issues; including:
Provide communications support to all internal stakeholders within the Business
Develop a consistent strategy and tone for all internal and external communications which is consistent and in line with the Business objectives and strategic goals. Includes copy-writing and editing of all internal and external communications, as deemed appropriate by the Leadership Team
Provide guidance and advice to internal stakeholders to assist them with their communications requirements
Develop and produce detailed communications strategies for specific projects and events
Lead and manage the Intranet content and interface to ensure it provides relevant and engaging Business updates to all internal stakeholders on a regular basis
Lead the engagement and management of all media outlets, including social media, to ensure external communications are delivered in a controlled and consistent manner that is in line with the Business objectives. Includes the identification of and engagement in topics and events relevant to the Business
Contribute and support the communications requirements of bi-annual and annual events including; salary reviews, benchmarking, intellectual capital data reporting, employee survey etc.
Contribute to the development of management information. i.e. annual reports, KPIs, presentations, monthly reporting as well as using the information to support business decisions.

Requirements

To excel in this role you will hold skills and experience in the following;
Degree qualified or equivalent with minimum of 10 years post graduate experience
Member of an accredited professional institute
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills in the English language
A proven track record in the delivery of internal and external communications. In addition experience in event management is highly desirable
Demonstrable evidence of a proactive approach to business improvement initiatives and practices, with sound judgment and solid decision making
Experienced user of Microsoft Office.
