Head of Data Governance Unit - Business Information Management Saudi Arabia. Salary TBC Benefits will include Housing Allowance, Bonus, Transport Allowance, Medical etc.

Our client who are a significant member of the Middle Eastern banking community have asked us to assist in the hire of an individual to join as Head of Data Governance Unit - Business Information Management.

Their job role will be leading the Bank over all Data and Information Governance activities, which include creating the required policies and process to be implemented in each piece of data and information, in all source systems, Data Warehouse and Operational Data Repository, and Business process. Play the role of Governance auditor and certifier in all implementations. Responsible for presenting and obtaining top management approvals for all polices. Lead the Data and Information Governance Execution Committee. Responsible for the Enterprise Data Governance Strategy and will participate in the Enterprise Data as Assets Strategy.

Their areas of responsibility are:

Strategy:
* Participate in the Enterprise Information and Data Strategy.
* Responsible for the Enterprise Data Governance Strategy.
* Participate in the Enterprise Data As Assets Strategy.

Policies, Processes and Procedures:
* Develop and implement the Enterprise Data Governance policies, procedures and controls covering all Sources of the data, Data Warehouse and Operational Data, online and offline integrations. Develop any other required Governance concept, policies, procedures and controls.

Enterprise Data Governance Management:
* Manages and Develop the Data Governance Policies in the Enterprise Level.
* Manage the overall Data Governance Function / Unit in Enterprise level as a single contact for all Data Governance Policies, Procedures and Process.
* Manages, Develop and Promote the concept of Data Governance in the Enterprise Level.
* Manage the Data Governance Execution Committee in the Enterprise level.
* Manage the Governance in all systems, Process and integrations.
* Manage the certificate of Data Governance compliance in the Enterprise level.

Transfer of Knowledge and Communication:
* Educate All Management levels of the Bank about the Data Governance Concept.
* Publish the Knowledge of agreed Governance policies and procedures across the entire organization.
* Publish the Knowledge of agreed Governance policies and procedures across the entire organization.

Leadership:
* Manages the effective achievement of Enterprise Data Governance Unit objectives through the leadership of the Data Enterprise Data Governance Unit setting individual objectives, recruiting qualified staff, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and division performance.

Change Management:
* Assesses the impact of introduced changes to people, process and systems and develops relevant communication and awareness initiatives to support the effective implementation of change.

Committees and Meetings:
* Represents the function and actively contributes in various committees/meetings (internal and external) as applicable and per authority levels in order to ensure relevant matters are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.

Related Assignments:
* Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.

Requirements

Head of Data Governance Unit - the Business Information Management Department. The minimum qualifications needed is a Bachelor's degree in MIS or Computer science and the minimum experiences:
- 10-12 years relevant experience in Data and Information Management in banking.
- 3 - 5 years experience in management in general.
- 3 - 5 years experience in Data and Information Governance role in particular.

The technical knowledge areas:
- Understanding of the banks strategy, objectives.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management.
- In depth project management knowledge.

In depth knowledge of the banks regulations.
