Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Head of Department will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to ensure cost effective achievement of objectives. This individual will manage the other members of the department with an aim to achieve the set targets and enhance the future development of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop long term and short term business strategy in line with promoting the organization’s presence within the MENA region
• Evaluate current sales activities, identify areas of strength and potential growth areas as well as areas for improvement
• Drive future growth of the organization by providing vision and guidance and manage the competitive market dynamics
• Manage the short term, mid-term and long term sales and strategic development of 11 subsidiaries and branches
• Setting and allocation of targets to each individual subsidiary and branch
• Identifying issues and resolving them effectively
• Develop relationships, initiate negotiations and cooperate with distributors and dealers
• Engage and support Marketing activities to drive market strategy and pricing – persuade HQ to develop products tailored to the MENA market
• Setting price guidelines for all countries in the MENA region
• Participate in recruiting, mentoring and career development of members of the department
• Implement an effective accounts receivable and collections strategy to minimize exposure to loss
• Constant communication, follow –up and tracking of customer and market needs
• Maintain good communication and develop strong practical working relationships with other Heads of Departments with an aim to achieve sales and financial objectives

Requirements

• 10 – 15 years’ experience in a similar position
• Mobile and IT experience highly desirable – distributor, operator or vendor side
• FMCG/Consumer Electronics industry background
• Sales and Marketing experience a must
• Must be interested in technology related to the mobile industry and be up to date on industry knowledge and news
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Arabic speaker would be desirable
